VP Membership & Mentoring Andy Smith opened the meeting on behalf of our President Kristie West and handed over to Toastmaster Simon Simpson who gave us an appetite with his theme of favourite foods.
Dorota Pliszka was Timekeeper for the evening.
Steve Hayward’s word of the day, pointless, was greeting with amusement by many though most of us proved too optimistic to use it!
Table Topics Master Bryant Yates challenged us with his table topics: lie to me!! The object: answer your table topic in any way other than telling the actual truth!
Thus we heard from Monica about being Cate Blanchett, Nigel on his trip to Mars, Matt on representing the UK in the Olympics, Steve on his weekend away with Nigel, Brad on his itchy little secret, Alex on stealing EasyJet, Camilla about those poor poor children, Euan on tormenting tourists, Gilly about nudist gardening, Tom on 10 years of working with Mother Theresa, from Erin about all of her husbands, and Andy’s most memorable date auditioning to be Erin’s husband No. 7.
Shane Snow evaluated the Table Topics
Sergeant at Arms Richard McMurray welcomed our guest Mo.
